Poor patronage is due to early morning departure at 6.35 am and so passenger get up at 4.00 am to catch this PREMIUM HIGH COST TRAIN and that too travel in broad day time with sun heat.If operated as over night services patronage is good one.
Now ordinary express in the day time with less fares over OMNI BUSES passenger prefer this train since this connect Namakkal,Salem,jolarpettai ,Katpadi,Arakkonam and Perambur and goes to Central for the convenient onward journey to the North India.

Since this is operated on Friday night at 22.30 from Chennai Central to Tirunelveli patronage may be good by booking privately by the passenger.So it has not cancelled and operated this week end Friday 25.4.14 and and on the next Friday 2.5.14 as Premium.
