Since his ticket was upto Hwh while 12260 still had AVL b4 chart preparation it got confirmed in Vikalp. Wonder if 12260 also had WL upto Sdah what would happe then. Wud they wait for chart preparation of 12260 or not
how to select Vikalp ?
for ex tried Poorva tomw 2A. this page is being showed. on clicking the bookings changes to Rajdhani/Duro with Flexi fare.
Unique PNR after all :)
Congratulations Ravi... Happy journey too!
When you book a ticket (Before making payment) and if the current status is WL, IRCTC will ask you to select Vikalp. It will not give you options to select trains.. System will allocate based on the availability after chart preparations.
can you pls send a screenshot for the same.
Anyways, happy Journey, have fun :)
ok, My Bad.. I was wrong, here is the correct way to opt for Vikalp.
First you have to book WL ticket and then go to the ticket history and opt for Vikalp. Screenshot attached.
Yes, vikalp option me agar aap koi premium train/Special train select karte ho to fare premium/Special ka charge kiya ja raha hai. Ye to bewakoof bana rahe hai logo ko.
i opted for atas
it gives you options to choose trains, in and around your time of dep.and destination
a max of 6 or 7 trains can be selected
First buy a WL ticket of any train and then go to booked ticket history after selecting that WL ticket go for Opt for Vikalp option afterwards you have to choose from the list of train running between both station.
A person can opt for maximum 7 trains at a time subject to availability for the train running between both Station and it should be within 12 hours of actual departure.
I had choosen this train for getting benefit of ATAS.
i have also chosen the same option
and it directly says accommodation provided, if someone isnt interested then?
One can opt out as well from Vikalp if he is not interested for get ATAS, but it should happen before berth allotment.
And if you don't want to travel on the new alloted berth/train then you have to pay cancellation changes as per the new fare for which berth has been allotted.
Will there be downgradation of the berth? For example, if I book for 3A, in alternate train will I get 3A or upper class (or) will there be chance of getting SL class also?
There is no clue as such regarding downgradation of berth under ATAS as of now.
Since IRCTC is treating the ATAS passenger as a normal passenger of New train, hence upgradation is possible. Normal upgradation funda will work here...
Hope this will be helpful for others too. Thanks.
Bro can u plzz confirm whether its getting a tech halt at GAYA or not.......
Class will be same.
if ur original tkt is 3A, You will given accommodation in 3A in other trains if avl. else not.
Nopes.. Current stoppages are NDLS-CNB-MSG-DHN-HWN.
Did it stopped at GAYA????
becoz 7-8 days ago my uncle travelled in it and he told that it stopped at GAYA, also SDAH DRM confirmed that it has got a tech halt at GAYA. And BTW MGS is a tech halt in dn direction as per railways official website
