Why is Kanpur served by 9 Rajdhanis and Lucknow by just 1!!!! @first blogger: Kanpur Central falls on the main Delhi-Howrah electrified high-speed trunk route - that's why all high-speed trains going East pass through Kanpur. Lucknow is on a non-electrified slow side track - a train has to be explicitly routed through Lucknow for Lucknow residents only - fast trains usually will not pass through Lucknow. some station must be deleted to make the train more efficient eg - NOQ u r right, as this train is having the worst avg speed when compared to other rajdhani or express trains. Shramjivi is having approximate same run between NDLS & Varanasi. But the real damage is in Bihar, where its having 3 irrelevant hault, as ballia, hajipur & sonpur. Provide the distance in KM to avail LTC. May be the direct train not reach there. av. speed of the train is qiute less as compared to other rajdhanis Despite having pretty less stoppages between New Delhi and Lucknow ....the train takes more time than Lucknow Swarn Shatabdi......Can anybody explain why ? is it possible to book ticket in rajdhani exp from lucknow to new jalpaiguri. at the time booking it is showing that ticket can not be booked for the given slot. pls reply ASAP, if any body is having idea. sanjay @first blogger: Yes its possible to book in this train between Lucknow to New Jalpaiguri. Even we cant book it from Moradabad also. I dont know the reason why but the only solution is you have to book it from NDLS and get change the boarding point Lucknow.
