Train Blog<--- expand blog --->This train will be extended to manglore from march 20th onwards! k h muniyappa will flag off the train! @first blogger: Any official confirmation? This news has been going on since the month of December 2010. First it was said it will be extended from February 2nd week onwards, then it was headr that in the budget they will announce and now in March 2010. any offical confirmation? and what about the booking when will it start? @Manthal Krishnan: Mar 13 (07:09PM) December 2010 ????????? it should be December 2009 @Manthal Krishnan: Mar 13 (07:09PM) Please read as DECEMBER 2009 (typing error) Has the Mumbai- Karwar Express - 2133 been extended to Mangalore @first blogger: So far not extended and also no plan for extension announced in the Budget 2010. So, It will remain upto Karwar only. @first blogger: it will be extended within next month @anon: Mar 10 (09:48PM) any official press release to support ur claim? if not provided guys beware FALSE INFO! @first blogger: It is not mentioned anywhere that the train will be extended. Yesterday the full holiday special list was there but nothing about this extension. WHICH STARION STOP @first blogger: It stops at Thane, Panvel, Ratnagiri & Madgaon on the route. Only 4 halts. Refer to the time table from where you posted your query. Post only specific queries and care for info which is already available. I would like to stand corrected. The last date of the Summer special is not Jun 30, 2010 but Jun 7,2010. Lincoln P. Coelho Tel : (022)2640 0826 With the announcement of the 0109/0110 Summer Special for 3 months till end Jun 2010, running 4 days a week to the same timings and halts as 2133/2144, Mumbai-Karwar now has a Superfast train 7 days a week. Let us hope that this temporary introduction is made into a permanent feature, as has been done with other trains in the past. Lincoln P. Coelho Tel: (022)2640 0826 dadar to kcvl aur dadar to tvc summer spl kab se chalu hoga? @first blogger: Train #0165 Dadar Ernakulam on April 7th and Train #0167 Dadar Kochuveli on April 3 onwards. Now this train runs until Mangalore Central. @first blogger: It has not started runing. It will start running from second week of February 2010 @anon: Jan 18 2010 (09:33AM) second week se first week of march hogaya train kyun mangalore tak chalu nahi hogaya? @anon: Mar 03 (04:45PM) There is no extension of the train to Mangalore. And hence you and others waiting for this extension will have to wait till the next budget i.e. Feb 2011. kuch train me laaluji ka time me opted tatkal quota {advance tatkal quota}tha ab kyu cancel kardiya? I WOULD SUGGEST TO MAKE THIS OR PROVIDING ANOTHER TRAIN AS DURONTO EXPRESS FROM CSTM TO MADGAON ATLEAST IN THE VACATION AS THE WAITING REACHES TILL 400 IN THE VACATIONS THIS TRAIN SHOULD BE EXTENDED TO MANGALORE AS TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION THE PROBLEMS OF PEOPLE IN KARWAR AND ALSO THAT THERE IS NO TRAIN FROM CSTM TO GO TO MANGALORE ALL ARE FROM LTT WHICH HAS VERY INCOVINIENT TRANSPORT MODE FOR PEOPLE LIVING IN THE THE INTERIORS OF WESTERN AND CENTRAL ROUTES i.e cstm, dadar, etc. AND AS WE HAVE TRAINS FROM LTT TO MANGALORE I.E 2619 WHICH HALTS AT SMALL STATIONS AFTER KARWAR IS IT'S DISADVANTAGE. HENCE I WOULD JUST SUGGEST TO MAKE A TRAIN HALTING AT IMP STATION ONLY I.E CSTM PANVEL RATNAGIRI MADGAON KARWAR UDUPI MANGALORE At last NO EXTENSION of this train to Mangalore in the budget @first blogger: why do u wan't extend to manglore Already Konkan Railway users Action Committee has protested against this extention. Rajadani was stopped as a mark of protest. Inspite of this, extention of trains is carried out then its shows that Indian Railways does not have any kind of consideration for people of Karwar. I urge people of Karwar to protest once agian for this extention. @first blogger: Acording to my knowledge this protest was against the extension of Bangalore Mangalore train towards Kannur . There was a huge demand to extend this train to Karwar instead railways extended it to Kannur. The protest was against this and not against extending train #2133 towards Mangalore. While going through the reservaation trend even for peak season for train 2133 seats are still available where as in matsyagandha has wating list above 200 for almost all days. So I think this train must be extended to Mangalore @first blogger: Dont understand why should ppl protest against extention of this train, when they are getting one more train to go to Mangalore. Dont they want an additional train to Mangalore? @first blogger: There are 4 regular trains which goes to Mangalore + Other weekly trains. It is very difficult for karwar people to get reservation on those trains & again the timings at karwar station for both Up & Down trains are odd exept Matsyagandha UP train Many people they might be knowing that 0109 DN & 0110 UP train to karwar was in operational since 2002 but only it was on seasonal basis ie on Ganpati -Dussera – Diwali festival & New year. In last budget this train became regular on Tri-weekly basis. This train is much more convenient for Karwar people where there are prestigious projects like Kaiga Atomic Plant & Sea bird & Karwar Port Trust. Instead of extending this train to Mangalore, I suggest to demand an additional super fast train to Mangalore on Tri - weekly basis that will run on every alternate day when Karwar super fast train doesn't run. karwar passanger not traveling mathsyaganda express mumbai manglore line coming same route manglore passanger demond exstation manglore banglore tain up to karawar but why agaist mumbai karwar extation manglore ples maind it karwar also coming karnataka state manglore passanger demond train daily Karwar Mumbai (CST) train must not be extended to Mangalore. Coz already there are so many trains running between mumbai to Mangalore. But there are no any trains running upto Karwar and from Karwar to mumbai are there than this one. This train is very convinient for the people who frequently travel to Mumbai from Karwar and back. Also it must be noted that there are prestigious projects such as Seabird and Kaiga power projects in Karwar. This is an advantage for persons who are directly or indirectly connceted to this project. Indian Railways must consider these points before yeilding to any lobby. @first blogger: Helloooo brother Can U pls specify which are these SO MANY train running from Mangalore to Mumbai? If there are so many trains running from the above said route pls don not forget that KARWAR is also on the same route . The only difference is some does not have stops in Karwar. But anyhow the extension of 2133 is going to be a reality with the comming budget. lis tell me this train ho much cochas when train exteded manglore ples tell me 2133 train exteded for manglore thise infrmation is true @first blogger: Till date no such extension is made for this train towards Mangalore. In future you can expect this. Two months back while inaugration of a train in Bangalore Minister Muniyappa told to press persons that the train will be extended to Mangalore and will start running from the 2nd week of February onwards. Any how according to the information obtained the extenssion of train will be included in the comming Railway Budget. In near future you can expect this. Ajayan @anon: Feb 13 (09:41AM) no because from ROHA TO KARWAR is konkan railway route @amey ambre: Feb 13 (10:48AM) Agreed ROHA to KARWAR is KRC so what do you mean? How is this related to extension of train. Can you please explain. @anon: Feb 13 (11:44AM) sir, this train is comminced by konkan railways not asouthern railways so the passenger ammenties this train safe for konkan district and why r u panic there is many trains like as matsyagandha express, netravati express, mangla lakshdweep express. @amey ambre: Feb 13 (05:24PM) Dear friend The train is not not run by KRC. It is run by Central Railway. It is sure that this train will be extended to Mangalore. The only uncertanity is regarding the announcment of date. Railway Time table Committee which was recently met at Puri in Orissa has approved this proposal and it is now kept for final sanction from Railway Ministy. Once it is cleared this will be a reality. This has nothing to do with KONKAN Railway Corp: One more think KRC ialso comes under INDIAN Railway. pls geve detail for 2133 train extainded for manglore @first blogger: this train is running on konkan railway route so this depend on konkan railways corporation This Train how many general bogi. this train fare form thane to ratnagiri how many RS. @first blogger: In this website, in the train time table page, a button "Fares and Seats" is provided for. Just select the Departure and Arrival station and get the fare amount yourself. Thane - Ratnagiri Fare is :- General Sleeper AC 3-tier AC 2-tier Rs. 90 Rs. 201 Rs. 510 Rs. 686 You plz use this feature and get fare and other information quickly. On which platform does the train "Cst Karwar express" arrive at Thane? Vibhor @first blogger: In all likelyhood on platform no. 5 and in rare case no. 7 Is it sure that this train will be extended to Mangalore from February onwards. Any body sure about this and when will this commence. Is this the fastest non branded train(No Raj ,Non GR ,Non JS,Non Shat ,Non Drnt)in India with an avg speed of 84 kmph? @first blogger: Thats wrong calculations. . The distance shown for Konkan Railway line is "chargable distance" and not "actual distance". The chargable distance between Roha and Mangalore is 40% higher than actual distance. This means if the distance specified there is 100 kms, the actual distance is only 71 kms. @MST IndianRailways*: Jan 07 07:58AM @ 2nd blogger .......... Why is the total distance shown as 'chargable'(what exactly is chargable distance) distance in KR ??I mean there should be some reason behind it .........why not show the actual distance which is more convenient (just a doubt).....and then again , the average speed of the train is shoen to be 86 km/hr........ @anon: Jan 08 02:22PM Konkan Railway goes through very mountainous terrain. The rail lines are recent, and were expensive to build. So, the railways is charging more money per km for the Konkan line. But instead of coming up with a different per-km tariff for Konkan Railway, they are just saying that: If distance from A to B is 100 km, let us just say that it is 140 km (fictitious) and then charge the fare for 140 km at the "original per-km rate". It is a complicated way to charge more money for the same distance. The moderator/admins should adjust the Konkan railway distances to "actual" distances, so that people are not misled into thinking that trains are going very fast in the Konkan region. it takes nearly 3 hrs late to reach karwar at 11.30 am there is no pantry, but outsiders travel in the interval This train is going to be extended upto Mangalore from first or second week of February, according to the news article in The Deccan Herald, dated December 29, 2009. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Muniyappa also announced extension of two trains and inauguration of a new train early next year. “The Tirupati-Mysore Express will be extended to Chamrajanagar during the first week of January and the Mumbai-Karwar Express will be extended to Mangalore during the first or second week of February,” he said. The Bangalore-Kochuveli Superfast Express announced in the budget would be inaugurated by February, he added. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ajayan Mumbai Next Month Onwards This Train (Train No 2133/2134) Extending To MANGALORE CENTRAL. JOJI This New train( Mumbai CST to Mangalore Central -2133) will be helpful for konkan ,Canara and north malabar commuters. I think this is best connection train towards TRIVANDRUM from mangalore central @anon: Nov 29 02:51PM Please subtansiate your claim with some official press release. If you cannot, bloggers please be reminded that this claim is otherwise hear-say! Union Railway Minister Mamata Bannerjee on Tuesday announced that the services four existing popular trains would be extended. After flagging off three new trains on Tuesday, Mamata said: “Bangalore-Hubli train would be extended till Dharwad, Mysore-Tirupati train would be extended till Chamarajanagar, Mumbai-Karwar train would be extended till Mangalore and Bangalore- Mangalore train would be extended till Kannur. “ The minister said that a duronto train from Bangalore to Howrah. will be soon introduced. By Indian express News Paper. Joji Good news from railway minister for people in kerala espicially to people from Malabar living in Mumbai. When announced in the budget about this train i was wondering if it can run up to Karwar why can't it be extended up to Mangalore for the benifit of people from Mangalore and Kerala, but somehow railway had done it. Thanks Ajayan Mumbai @first blogger: Dear blogger there is no official press release regarding the train: 2133/2134. I think someone is trying to pass some wrong info. I think the above info. is bloggers' personal advice. @VINITA JAIN: Dec 10 12:26PM BANGALORE: Union Railway Minister Mamata Bannerjee on Tuesday announced that the services four existing popular trains would be extended. She also announced that the “dedicated freight corridor”, which is laid exclusively for the goods trains to ply, would be extended to South India. The above said new was published in The Express daily on December 9, 2009. I agree that there is no officaal press release but the railway is planning to extend the train up to Mangalore. The name Darbhanga Express should be changed. Shouldn't it? Also the train in reverse direction (#2134) shows its name as Pune Express. Thanks for the notification. Yes, indeed there was an error, which has since been corrected. @moderator*: Dec 08 12:16AM Thank you for prompt action. Curious to know, I think you store the data on your own database, don't you? I thought you get it from IR servers. Thanks again! It is a combination of the two. We check the raw data, and correct spellings and names, based on the inputs we receive from our bloggers. For example, a few months back, when the Shirdi station was inaugurated, its name was "SNSI" in the IR site, which might not have been informative to many people. But, we changed it to "Sainagar Shirdi" here, and so on. Sometimes, the train number remains the same, but the name changes, as in this case. We are going to be introducing a feature whereby logged-in users can directly change the name if they notice any errors. Thanks. @moderator*: Dec 08 09:30PM I appreciate your efforts in keeping the site uptodate. I would like to draw your attention to another descrepency. When I type train no 2133 or 2134 in the "Get Train" box, I get an ajax suggestion. The names in the suggestion are still old ones, i.e. Darbhanga Exp and Pune Exp. Could you please correct them as well? Thank you for your quick actions and sorry to bother you again. -Sagar @first blogger: @moderator, other bloggers: I don't think there is an issue here. If it is shown as Dharbanga Express it means it is going to Dharbanga, and when returning it clearly indicates that it is going to Pune ! Simple i would think Am willing to be corrected. It helps people instead of confusing whcih train they are taking and going where. Most people don't know the train number is important and look only at the destination boards... Good wishes. @first blogger: @moderator, other bloggers: I don't think there is an issue here. But, the train names remained the same. (now corrected) So, we had Darbhanga Express going to Karwar, which was confusing. We are taking some steps here to keep the names up to date.
