Train Blog<--- expand blog --->The train doesn't have side middle birth. Total of 8 births (3+3+ Side upper + side lower) * 9 =72 berths per compartment. Its a train with few compartments about 5-6 2nd class sleeper and 1-2 3rd AC compartments. There is a vestibule connecting all compartments. There is no pantry car. Food is available at stations in between but quality is not great. Better to choose a train having pantry facility. Private catering is available in certain places (where they take your order and serve lunch/breakfast/dinner about 1-2 hours after taking order). The private catering (service and food quality) is especially bad in Andhra, while in other places its average. The train averages 50km/hr including stops and usually runs right time to about an hour later. Water comes in toilets. Toilets are ok. The train stops frequently to let faster trains like Rajdhani/Tamil Nadu express etc overtake it. Thanks for your overall review of Andaman Express. PC if not attached is a problem for long distance passengers. But according to one of the news in Railnews, only base kitchen will be providing food in the coming time as and when the contract of the present contractor ends. how about 3rd a/c in this train. is it good? It has 1 3AC coach.Train is clean but journey is ver long due to odd timings is there pantry car in this train? then it means its sufficient to take eatables from stations? is this a good train for long journey? the journey is very, very long. I don't understand why they do not have a pantry car. Not all stations have good, hot food. I think someone in this forum should tell us which stations serve good food, so we are prepared to stock up when the trains reaches those stations. You can get good hot food at Ambala Cant. It is also good for the packaged food, which you can also get at the New Delhi station. No pantry.If traveling from chennai you can have good lunch at comesum in Vijaywada.Evening Snacks at warangal Decent Food(bread Omlet,Dosa etc) at Balharshah.Good breakfast at Bhopal/Itarsi.Then lunch at jhansi plztell me in andaman exp howmany a/c coaches are their from new delhi to jammu tawi and how many berts are their in sleeper coaches 8 or 9 berts because if their is a middle side berth between side lower and side upper then it is very uncomfortable for people who will have seats in side lower and side upper berth and is their apantry car or not plz help me forall these answer urgently It has 1 3AC coach.I am not sure about the SMB thing very slow train wost southern railway panni southern railway weast railway dogs wost train weast good train thanks Please Note the Kangra Valley Rail Schedule: FOLLOWING TRAINS:- FROM PATHANKOT(PTK) TO JOGINDER NAGAR(JDN).....
