This train is maintained very well. Coaches and toilets are absolutely clean at the start of journey. Coaches are fitted with bio toilets. Enroute does gets dirty, though not intolerable. No cleaning was done till Udupi.
Very nicely maintained Train.
Mostly coaches shine from Inside.
Clean Linen is given.
Overall runs on time till MAQ, gets slightly delayed in MAQ-UD section.
Getting tickets is not very Tough....

promethsuresh^~ 3536 blog postsNo pantry car on this train so if you want to have Good dinner is available on board an authorised vendor will come and take orders and supply you with food according to the vendor u get chappati kurma,pulao/biryani,idli vada is available.If u want to have breakfast at Mangalore Central it is a request do not buy food from platform vendors as they provide spoiled food.Mostly the train arrives on platform 3 or platform 2.Just climb the overhead bridge go to platform 1 and there will be an IRCTC hotel where u get superb Poori Sagu and good Masala Dosa(don't worry about train leaving MAQ the train has halt of 40 minutes).If u want lunch at Karwar veg and non veg meals are available even delicious fish is available.
Now you can use lift (Near new Bridge) from pf 1 & Pf 2/3 to go up & down at Mangalore Central

It is bio toilets, which are fitted underneath the lavatories. The human waste discharged into them is acted upon by a particular kind of bacteria that converts human waste into non-corrosive neutral water.
But to my surprise there was no water in the my boogie on 1 side. so people had to use only 2 toilets and 1 washbasin in the morning. there were passengers coming from next boogie also to use toilets . this is very very bad expirence.
