This train and JB are easily the best non-premium SF train between Kolkata and National Capital region. Speed upgradation to 130 mps has done wonders, the train has a terrific run and is punctual throughout the route, infact remains BT on most stations. One complain is that the train was not maintained and cleaned at ANVT. Toilets of AC3 were already dirty when the train was placed at ANVT, and OBHS also didn't do a good work of cleaning the coach enroute. Unfortunately the pantry has not started functioning fully, just basic stuff and meals are available as of now. Earlier had an exceptional pantry service. Less stoppage also means less local passengers and less chances of theft, hence safety too is pretty good.
Food Tip:
The food in this train is BEST. Poorva and Kalka mail have average food standards, but this train have brilliant food. All varieties comprising from Veg Meal, Egg Meal, Fish Meal, Chicken Meal, Biryani (Egg/Veg). Do specially try the Fish Meal which is just good option for fish lovers.
But while you are going to board this train from Old delhi, don't forget to pack up your dinner from Chandni Chowk i.e one of the food heaven in Delhi. Chandni chowk is just along side Old delhi railway station. So for...
