SDAH - NDLS AC Duronto was the fastest Duronto when introduced , it ran between SDAH & NDLS with operational halts at DHN,DDU & CNB respectively. After a while those operational halts were changed to commercial halts.

How Malda is connected to most places ??

JSME , BWN , NCB , NOQ , KNE all these have better connectivity than MLDT , meanwhile JSME gets new trains to various destination every 3rd day but still MLDT is above JSME by minimal margin .

MLDT
...
has no connectivity to North India beyond Delhi , No direct trains for GKP , ADI , BRC , MAO , UBL , JAT , ASR , KOTA , JP , JU , TPJ , BPL , NHLN & many more destinations .

All South bound trains from NE except Amrit Bharat have PQWL for MLDT , Only weekly train for Gujarat , GNWL removed from Farakka Express one of the imp train. Still MLDT manages to cross 100 cr mark otherwise would have stuck in 70-80 Cr

BGP may have less trains but the connectivity that BGP enjoys is of next level , Trains for other states from BGP originate closely either BGP itself or Godda , Banka, Malda etc so it enjoys GNWL in most trains thus resulting in higher boarding numbers meanwhile only minimal trains at Malda have GNWL.

Also BGP has more local trains compared to Malda . Around 20 local trains keep round of BGP station whole day but for Malda only 6 local trains are available whole day . This makes BGP extremely strong in both PRS & UTS earning but for Malda only PRS earnings are high & UTS earnings are not even touching 20Cr.

I know very well that you will never change your perspective , you will keep mocking MLDT has very less earnings comapred to the no of trains still I have tried to highlight the main reasons .

Godda, Madhupur, Jasidih Lacks maintenance facilities still has originating trains Even Ara, Balurghat lacks proper coaching depot facilities. Idk abt other cities but playing victim card to defend on behalf of neighbouring region politics doesn’t justify that these two stations are not hyped in terms of train extension.

- All the Godda/Banka train except GTNR - GODA belongs to BGP itself.

- BGP earns 30 cr more than Malda from PRS Only.

- Migration in north east is for South Only not for the north.

You keep on day dreaming about Malda, but even your trains to north get better bookings from BGP.

Thats for clarifying and making my point solid.

Malda is overhyped. Thats my POV
I dont need yours

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
