True, I feel the same. Take Hyderabad for example: Throughout the city's railway lines, there are less than 10 stations that have loop lines and rest of the stations have only main lines with platforms on either sides. On these lines: MMTS trains stop at every station, goods trains move very slowly across the city, intercity/passenger trains stop at small stations. Also, there are no major bypass lines to reduce congestion. Overall, even trains like Rajdhani, Duronto and other superfast trains get delayed due to infrastructure problems and the bad controlling. Avg. speed of trains that pass through Hyderabad is very low. In my experience, it was 25-30km/h. Earlier, MMTS used to be a reliable mode of commute, but now they are always delayed, low frequency and low priority.
