This is an advance notice of a feature which will be released in the next couple of days. It is called "Background Mode". In the "Normal Mode", the slider is green and to the left. In the "Background Mode", the slider is Blue and to the right.
In the Background Mode, IRI pages, blogs, etc. are always available instantly in any kind of internet connectivity, even OFFLINE. If you have visited the page before, the page is available. Blogs/Pics will always be available FRESH
- since these are downloaded in the background. Background Mode is suitable when you have intermittent or slow internet connectivity.
In the Background Mode, the IRI website will behave just like a Messaging app. You will get notifications of Pvt. Posts, Attns, Blogs, etc. These messages are already downloaded in the background, whenever internet connectivity is available. So, when you click on any notification, the blogs are immediately available, even if there is no current internet connectivity at that time.
Also, you will be able to Reply to blogs, Rate blog posts and Upload pictures in the Background Mode. Just click the Post button, and the box immediately disappears - you don't have to wait for the picture to upload, or retry posting if the Post fails. After you click Post, you may resume normal browsing - even if you are completely offline. The picture will be uploaded in the background whenever internet is available.
The Background Mode is especially suitable while travelling, when the internet connection is slow or goes on and off. Just like a messaging app, all browsing will be instant. You will be able to post blogs, upload pics, rate blogs, irrespective of whether the internet is slow, intermittent or unavailable. Whenever internet is available, blogs will be auto-posted, new notifications and blogs will be downloaded.
The feature will be released in the next 2-3 days.

The notifications will be available like normal. However, the blogs would already have been downloaded to the browser. So, for instance, if you get a notification of 3 Pvt. blogs, then that means the blogs have already been downloaded in the background and are already available locally.
The behaviour is just like a Messaging app. In a messaging app, when you get a notification, the message is already available on the device. Similarly, when you click on the top notification in the web page, you will be able to view the blogs instantly, even if there is no internet. Also, you will be able to reply to them, rate them, etc. offline.

All activities will by synced in the background, when connectivity is available.

The Haryana government has approved the much talked about high-speed rail link between Delhi and Rajasthan. The high-speed rail link between Delhi and Rajasthan will pass through Gurugram in Haryana.
Delhi-Rajasthan high-speed rail link: The Haryana government has approved the much talked about high-speed rail link between Delhi and Rajasthan. The high-speed rail link between Delhi and Rajasthan will pass through Gurugram in Haryana. Last week, the rail network, which is under RRTS projects and which will connect Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Haryana-Rajasthan border near Shahjahanpur-Neemrana-Behror, has been approved by the Haryana government at a special meeting in Chandigarh, chaired by Haryana Chief Minister ML Khattar, according to a TOI report. The high-speed rail link will be a big
boon for those travelling between Delhi and Rajasthan. Here are 5 things to know about the Delhi-Rajasthan high-speed rail link:
1) According to officials, the first phase of the Delhi-Rajasthan high-speed rail corridor is likely to cost around Rs 25,000 crore. The officials also claimed that the average speed of trains running over this corridor would be around 100 kmph.
2) The detailed project report will be prepared within three months by NCR Transport Corporation, which is responsible for executing the project. NCR Transport Corporation is a joint venture of the Indian government and states of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Delhi NCT. Also, the physical work of the project is likely to start by March 2019.
3) Due to land acquisition issues, the state government has recently amended the alignment of the route. Interestingly, due to the change in route, the land requirement would now decrease to just 25 hectares from 350 hectares that was earlier needed.
4) According to Haryana’s principal secretary Anand Mohan Sharan, now after entering Gurugram, instead of taking NH-8 immediately, the new route will run on the old Delhi-Gurugram Road and the route will meet the highway at Signature Tower Chowk. Thereafter, beyond Kherki Daula, the new route will go underground and would emerge above the ground at IMT Manesar. Before entering Rajasthan, the new alignment would move along the highway up to Dharuhera, Rewari and Bawal.
5) According to Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority’s CEO V Umashankar, from the Huda City Centre to Gurugram railway station line, a metro route will be branched out, at Inox Gurugram Dreamz on Old Railway Road. Then, before reaching the Major Sushil Aima Marg and meeting the Delhi-Rajasthan rail link, the metro route would go towards Rezang La Marg, Sector 5 Chowk, Carterpuri Road, Columbia Asia hospital, he stated.

sir, i m not against RRTS...let them plan like Delhi-Meerut....knowing local scenarion, it will not kick off before 2-3 yers considering land aquisition issues in NCR. But at least electrify Del-GGN route on priority.
