Looking at the train number, seems like either a parcel train or a tourist train. Given the distance, most probably a parcel train.
Why are parcel trains updated in WIMT or NTES considering they have no bearing on any end user? I have often seen parcel specials being listed on the site.
A lot of these parcel trains are booked by local businesses, so most probably to give them whereabouts of their consignments.
Given the mismanagement I've faced on IR parcel website, this seems a much reliable tracking option. Although most of the parcel trains are always 40+ hours late.

Farakka used to run upto Old Delhi, not NDLS. Although it has an interesting history.
Originally used to run between Varanasi-Delhi as Ganga Yamuna Express. Then got extended to Bhiwani on DLI end. Later it was extended to Malda on BSB end and was renamed as Farakka Express, with short termination again at Delhi.

I just used NDLS as a general umbrella term for all stations in Delhi region, though technically it can only be used for New Delhi station, I know.
The extensions reminds me of two trains. I think Avadh Express was originally Lucknow - Agra once when introduced [though I could be wrong], now it is a mammoth Bombay-Barauni Express.
