I think they can also look at rake share with CBE-BNC VB as well. However what I have heard is in both directions railways wants to opt for a schedule where in both directions train crosses CBE-PGT stretch only in the time window ( 6am-6pm) when speed limit is 60/65km/hr. From 6pm onwards till morning 6am all trains have restricted speed of 45km/hr hence the challenge of having an afternoon dep from Bangalore or ERS. Other option is to have 2 rakes which I dont think is easy to get approved

Well having 2 rakes is not a bad option but it's not easy due to the CBE-PGT section post 6pm to 6am... as u rightly said, either dept from ERS or BNC would be tricky... they need to work someway to get this into commercial run asap.... so that it would be beneficial for pax.... 🤔👍

With one rake this was the only option, but again the early dep from Bangalore was proving to be hassle which all passengers were highlighting. But despite a similar slot the BNC-ERS ran with almost 96% occupancy. Passengers were wanting a slight;y delayed start post Intercity Exp. This would have meant 2 rakes needed if it was to become a daily train
