Is city's name changed to Gurugram or is it still Gurgaon?
The city is officially named Gurugram, I think but the station still reflects the old name.
Had the name change yielded political votes, the name change would have been done in no time, irrespective of money spend in the same !

True. Lots of station names in UP have been altered just for political purposes with no useful context added for passengers [Prefixing Pratapgarh with 'X' isn't going to stop passengers from calling it from it's actual name].

Poor choice of terminal. They could have easily started it from Lucknow Jn NER instead. Since it effectively leaves ASH at midnight, making it leave from LJN as the last train after LJN CDG Express would have been more practical.
Not sure where 05071/72 GTNR - NDLS - CPR Puja Spl was maintained but it seems IR is checking patronage for Delhi @ GTNR train as GTNR is the future fledged terminal of Lucknow.
Also, 2300 hrs isnt dat late for Lucknow and they could have given a halt @ BNZ.

BNZ should have gotten a halt. Tons of passengers board/deboard from there. The JP - GTNR Express terminates at GTNR but essentially empties at ASH and BNZ.

Also since we know for a fact that there's a train from MDU to CBE via PLNI, we could have a CBE to either MDU or TPJ via PLNI by departing in the morning from CBE... in a way it might benefit ppl to travel to TPJ or PLNI....

If railway is really concerned about the patronage of this train, then route should be 110% via AYC.
Completely agree. Via sln makes no sense at all.
This train will run between two Tier-2 cities, you need to have Stop like Ayc which can provide pax to either direction.. if not via AYC then Pratapgarh route deserves this train
