"why Just till Poona" Well the Actual Query was .As we know Bangalore Poona Mail is running since early 1900's. it got Extended to Nanjangud in 1907 . But Why Mail Ran Only Till Poona but Not Bombay as Bombay Bangalore Mail Instead from 1900's Itself.
And When Bombay Poona Line Got Commissioned and if the line existed in 1900's itself why Poona mail Wasn't Extended To Bombay? Was it Deliberate or Due to Some Technical Constraints
As you know, the Bangalore-Pune route was on MG and the Pune-Bombay route was on BG. So, an end-to-end train between Bombay and Bangalore via Pune and Hubli was not possible before 1995.

3 trains existed in 1966 with third one running with train no 207/208.

Thank you for the correction. Yes, there were 3 trains. The 1961 TT had only two trains and I jumbled it up with 1971, when the GC was done.
The 207/208 was initially named 'Deccan express', later as 'Karnataka express' and then as 'Kittur express', before being renamed as 'Rani Chennamma express' after GC.
Never Knew the third train Ever existed came across it very recently while going through a rail crash investigation report. The Deccan Express had a head-on collision on Yalvig Pf. It seems the crash was pretty bad. The ministries rail investigation report just says heavy loss of life hiding the actual toll
