Some of the snaps clicked by me on during travel from MLN to BIC in Vistadome coaches. This section comes under North Eastern railway, Lucknow division and It is MG and will never be converted to BG. This section covers the dense forest of Dudhwa and Katarnia Ghat. One can witness many wild animals such as Beer, Deer, Raindeer, Panther,Leopard and many different species of birds. This section reminds the old railway system where loco pilot exchange tokens at every station, Manual crossing gate and every station is surrounded of dense forest. Ghaghra river and Sharda river makes this section even more beautiful. The trains speed in forest is reduced to 30 40kmph so it takes more than 4 hour to cover 107KM.One should must travel on this section as we don't know when Govt can take decision for its GC. I have calculated the revenue of major cities in Uttar Pradesh and organized them in order. Please note that the revenues of the stations are rounded off, and the asterisk and bracket (*) indicates that the station listed does not belong to the respective district but primarily serves that city only.

Please do let me know if I've done any mistake I'll be really glad to correct it and I've taken cities with a revenue of more than 100 Crores and stations with a revenue of more than 5 Crore only.

I agree, the load factor at Kanpur is too much to have many originating trains and I can absolutely sympathize with the controllers who have to maintain agressive TT of so many trains coming from so many directions along with the huge marshalling yard traffic.

I think every so called big stations are performing perfectly now we need as impressive infrastructure for the comfort of the passengers, especially you Lucknow NR, don't you dare to stop my train at Utrethia for hours without facing any crossings or overtakes

Once , Himgiri Express I was travelling in, took less time to cover SLN-LKO outers than it took to shuttle into LKO. Trains often negotiate ~30 mins on the LKO-UTR stretch before blasting off. Same is true for AMV-LKO on some occasions and Manaknagar-Lucknow [especially for passengers and trains like Gomti that crawl after that].

The only exception is the NER route because that sees less traffic and is properly doubled now [was somewhat single back in the day].

I agree with most of what you said here but AYC - ANVT, GTNR - PNBE are some of the VBs which run quite full throughout the year. If you see their demand and waiting list, they've a capability of filling a 16 coacher VB take too.

And in Bihar, a lot of Patna bound VBs are doing really good.

So it's a tale of every train coming to Lucknow LoL, I thought my train was getting the special treatment. They are laying more tracks near the Lucknow outer right, I just saw only land grubbing and filling at some places rest wasn't visible due to it's being late at night.

My Himgiri incident happened ~6 years ago, so the problem is quite old. The issue lies with the non availability of PFs at LKO NR during peak times, especially at night. One thing IR has explored is for trains coming from UTR and going to AMV/BE side can be stopped at Transport Nagar railway station[developed now with atleast 1 proper platform] and bypass LKO NR altogether.

Transport Nagar area has a metro station and if trains start stopping there, public transportation too would start becoming available to/fro from the metro station

Just look at the number of passengers at my hometown Kumardhubi while no. of trains halting is way lesser than counterparts. For instance giving halts of all daily trains in express and Superfast category wud help passengers. Maithon, Kumardhubi and Chirkunda has lots of passengers potential.
