Sinhagad Express at Kalyan DNA Photo DNA The railways is at its wits end to find a solution to the problem of hundreds of suburban ticket-holders entering the air-conditioned as well as regular coaches of the Singhad Express from Pune when it halts at Karjat and Kalyan during its morning journey to CST. The problem has become very acute now with as many as 50 to 60 extra passengers forcing thier way regularly into the 75 seat AC coach during weekdays.

If there were Hundreds only, then Such things wont rise to large extents.
These Hundreds becomes thousand in no time.
What system you can bring. Till today Passholders Rule trains like Ashram, Mandore etc. You cannot stop Passholders at all.
Hypocrcy at its worst.It is good to know such incidents have been reported. The 10112/10111 Konkan Kanya is probably the mother of all trains when it comes to ferrying illegimate passengers. Yet, no action is taken as the authorities do not care.After all, the authorities are only concerned about promotig a new brand of toilets.

absolutely. The passholders are daily travelers in this trains. TTE's are helpless in this conditions.

Can the number of unauthorised passengers be compared to the number of passengers who to/from suburban stations of Mumbai like KYN/TNA/DR? So no halt will definitely these larger set of passengers and anyways it will never happen that suburban halts are removed
If IR is not able to control pass holders then it is their fault which needs correction, Just for the sake of pass holders you cannot cause inconvenience to the suburban passnengers which include all set of passengers (reserved/unreserved/MST)...
