NEW DELHI, MAY 1:   Union Minister Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury today said it was not possible for railways to provide foolproof security to its vast infrastructure and asked States to give “more attention” to it, as twin blasts in a train at the Chennai central station claimed a woman’s life.
Chowdhury said railways tracks were spread over 64,000 kilometres in the country.
“Such a vast railway tracks pass through thousands of villages and jungles. So how can railways ensure security of each and every place? It is not possible for railways to give foolproof

security to it.
“So the State governments should give more attention to it. They have Government Railway Police (GRP) for this.” said Chowdhury, Minister of State for Railways.
He was reacting on today’s twin blasts in the Bangalore-Guwahati Express at the Chennai Central Railway station, in which a woman was killed and 14 others were injured.

I m not blaming this minister or party, but the value we give to lives. Yesterday she was a daughter , sister , an employee, a graduate . But today , since morning ppl are soeaking of ex gratia amount.
She would have earned don't know how many times this amount had she lived , or had she survived this incident, maybe the braveheart would've taken up railway safety as a challenge and delivered thru her technology skills

Yeah! I too saw that video. It is a normal procedure carried throughout the world. They were just showing it to the press( Should be a Police personnel). But the forensic team was well equipped. They were collecting the evidences in a proper manner as they were supposed to be. Don't worry. They have everything here. But that's not our problem. Even at midnight the terminus is well secured.

And the process is always downwards. Shud start with these big stations. Slowly other stations shud be made the same. There shud be a protocol based solution directly monitored by commissioner of rail safety
