A co passenger informed that although the tickets on irctc were showing price of Rs. 2500+, he managed to get it for Rs. 1700 at railway station just 10 mins before scheduled departure time.
However although he wanted to travel from Ahmedabad to Jaipur, he was forced to reserve his seat till Delhi (last stop).
But he managed to save a whopping Rs. 800 by booking directly from station that too just 10 mins before departure.

more... guess railway understands that its better to sell out tickets at low cost then to let it remain unoccupied as these premium dynamically priced trains really shoot up on ticket prices once the number of available tickets falls below a certain number.
