As stated above, Raj has specific reason that is, from capital of India to various capital of states and is given importance to that particular state so also Kerala Raj. So no question of additionaal stops in other states since the main object is to travel to Delhi and to Kerala (to and fro). So other states please excuse. Even Kerala Raj has only very few stops in Kerala when compared to other trains running in Kerala.
Secondly regarding Surat, lot of keralities are staying in Surat and in other parts of Gujarat who are involved in business or in jobs. I think apart from Kerala Gujarat has maxmium Keralities living than any other states in India. For their requirments there

are other trains running between Gujarat and Kerala. Various malayalee associations have been working hard to get new trains for Gujarath in the past and recently they have been successfull in that. In last budget they got Happa Tirunelveli Bi-Weekly SF and this year also they got 2 trains Bavnagar-Kochuveli and Porbandhaar-Kochuveli. So surat...............please excuse ..........and leave KERALA..RAJ.

But dont you think Surat deserves Royal train to Kerala. There are Many keralite peoples residing at Surat & Nearby Town like Navsari, Bilimora & Valsad. Even 2 min halt will very useful.
