Here is my wishlist of additional Rajya Rani Expresses (State/Region wise), which are much needed socially and economically:- I tried to focus on those places, which are not connected directly to state capital or the demand is huge (irrespective of good connectivity by passing many trains, but the towns require their own quota) THANKS, but remember.....suggestions are welcome from natives

Railways had conducted a traffic cum engineering survey and submitted their feasibility report in Jan 2014 with total length of direct link from Rajpura to Chandigarh via Zirakpur as 39 km with estimate of 692 cr with ROR of (-) -6.05 % ls see let's see what they do now.

For making direct link between these locations, a reconnaissance Engg. cum Traffic survey for a new line between Rajpura-Chandigarh via Zirakpur was conducted whose report was submitted to Railway in Jan, 2014 with the following details given as under : Project length- 33.100km. Project Cost- 692.82 crores Rate of Return - (-)6.05%p.a. In this way, by connecting direct Chandigarh to Patiala, Total rail length will become 58.44km which will be shorter route than indirect route as mentioned above by 39.79km.
