Generally the rule on trains is dont complain - eat whatever you get.
But I think this train breaks the rules !!!
Can't help - have to complain and warn fellow passengers
Other than...
more... all the usual hygiene and disgust issues common to most trains other than the Rajdhanis & Durantos etc., there is some problem beyond perception in this train kitchen.
Dont know whether the problem is North Indian guys trying to sell South Indian dishes or just lack of interest in providing at least acceptable food.
If the cooks (cant even think of writing chef here) are northies, then I guess they should stick to serving the food that is their forte irrespective of the train route. Similarly, if they are looking to serve South Indian style, then they have to employ South Indian chefs or at least ones they have experience in.
It is just like an awkward experience I had in a Kerala restaurant where I was served "butter chicken" with sambhar powder in it.
Well, of course you do have the usual hygiene (the lack of) issues etc. with this.
n.b. : South Indian food is not equal to idlis and doshas (To all the people who have pseudo typed ;) )
Posting this same on the return train (Nagercoil - Gandhidham) too as the catering staff is the same
