17:11 PM WB CM-elect Mamata quits as railway minister: Mamata Banerjee has resigned as the union railway minister. However, the Trinamool will hold on to the portfolio. She will be sworn in as West Bengal chief minister tomorrow.

Any way we got answer now. Our PM will hold railways with him. Lets wait for union minister.
May be sonia want to be with manmohan...since we have UP elections next year.

Tejas, you are right. A Cabinet reshuffle is on the cards within the next one month. It is expected that Shri. Mukul Roy and one more Minister of State from TMC, possibly Shri. Dinesh Trivedi, will then be upgraded as Union Ministers with Cabinet rank.

Yes three MoS under PM who is in charge of Railway Ministry.The PM will redistribute responsibilities among Three MoS for smooth functioning of ministry. Possibly he will keep major decisions power with himself.
Now one has to request or write Mr. PM for any demand or grievance. Another aspect:The Railway Ministry is under Economist lets see whether he can make any impact(even for short while).

Ya PM can do some good work for IR. Recently i read a news on PPP mode of Railways. It seems railways was very slow when it comes to infra development decision when compared to other fields such as National Highway and Aviation.
Lets hope he will make some changes in IR also.
