The Current dist b/w Chandranathpur & Silchar is 50 KM . Also LOCO Reversal need at BADARPUR . It takes Minimum 2 hr to reach SILCHAR from CHandranathpur . But If only 15 KM New line will construct b/w Chandranathpur & Arunachal Jn then the dist will be only 21 km . dist decreases almost 30 km & also LOCO REVERSAL at BADARPUR is not need , that 20 km can complete with in 30 - 40 min so almost 1 hr25 min time will save & also th preasure of BADARPUR will decrease .

Now Silchar - Chandranathpur is 50 km & It takes more than 2 hr from Silchar ( 55615 takes 2h 33m ) . If 15 Km Chandranathpur - Arunachal line was construct then Chandranathpur Silchar distance will be only 20 km . 30 Km travel time & 30 min loco reversal time will save . Silchar - Chandranathpur is in plain region so it will takes maximum 30 - 40 min to reach Chandranathpur from Silchar . Minimum 1 hr 30 min journey time will reduce .
