Yes !! I too have spotted this few times. WDM series are quite bulky type locos & can catch fire at any time. I still remember when i was small , once i spotted Kalka mail with the same problem at Dankuni . That time kalka used to get diesel locos. So its alco was emitting some blue , yellow type flame from it's chimney. EMD are better locos than this one.They are fuel efficient locos & have greater power than alco series.

I am a lover of both Alcos & EMDs ....
But I have great fear agar alco se koi Fire Hazard hoga toh na LP bachega na koi passenger bachega ..........

union SDAH division mein repeatedly complain kar rahe hai North Bengal Trains ko EMD dene ke liye ........
Specially for Padatik Express the LP Union is in Fire on high officials of of SDAH for not giving EMD to it .......
Dar lagta hai so made this screen name ....
But I think in ALCOS "FIRE EXTINGUISHER" are there , don't know ....
Aur Fir zaroorat kya hai "Electrified Section" mein Diesel Loco Chalane ki ?
Safe hai Electric Loco se trains ko le jao fir Diesel Section mein provide diesel Loco to the Train.
