I had reservation on 12957 Ahmedabad ndls rajdhani for 27th may 2016...3rd ac...till just before chart prepration my status of ticket was coming as RAC15 and at the time of chart prepration it came as RC B1-63.
In coach B1,THERE were 3 rac berths:55,63 and 71. Mine was 63. So does that mean at the time of chart prepration my status of rac came at rac 3/4?...as I think RAC 1/2 must have been allotted B1 55.
In this train there is rac till 66...and 11 3ac coaches...each coach having 3 rac berths...so...

Actually I couldn't get a full berth during my entire journey inspite of my RAC status as- RAC3/4 (as per my understanding).

RAC allocation are respective of number of coaches of 3AC. For example your status was RAC15 and suppose that in each 3AC coach there need to be atleast 3 - RAC allocation. So if there are 10 3AC coaches then in total 30 RAC passengers will get berth as 3 berth per 3AC coach.
Thank you due for your reply. So as per your response...my question is that for RAC15 status...I would get reservation in coach B3?...in b1 rac 1 to6, b2 rac 7 to 12, b3 rac 13 to 18...

mainly the charting authority do this is sequential manner, but this is what totally depends on the charting authority.
