As part of its second anniversary celebrations, Mumbai Metro One announced it will go "green" in a big way by harnessing solar energy, switching over to LED lights and other measures, an official said on Tuesday.
A subsidiary of Reliance Infrastructure Ltd, the Mumbai Metro One Pvt. Ltd (MMOPL) will exploit solar energy for meeting a part of its running needs, and switch over to LED (light-emitting diode) at all metro stations, its depots and administrative building to reduce electricity consumption.

Not only Mumbai metro to going green also Mumbai will be less polluted as Gravity basted traveling system getting installed at many places as trial basis within five year.Traveling and sky walk travel fun both one time. in this method big tower will be used. thru lift public passenger will go to the tower and ride sky traveling.
in this new gravity based journey new magnetic technology (which used in bullet)meglev track will be used to boost speed. it will take one or two minute for two km journey. first trail range will be 1 km and two km.
