Is it possible to board Duronto with an unreserved ticket purchased at the station and then get a berth from the TTE? I want to take 12284 from MAO to MAJN but IRCTC doesn't allow booking between these stations since the minimum distance requirement is not met (I guess). Please let me know. Thanks!

No booking allowed for Intermediate to intermediate stations but intermediate to terminating station (exception may exist in other leg)..
Cant be sure, if only UTS could suffice (mayb for SL), but in AC, u may need First Class Unreserved Ticket (without it, may termed ticketless & fined accordingly)..
Further, TTE will make ticket till ERS or minimal chargeable distance (High chance till ERS)...

Hi Jagdeesh, thanks for the great suggestion. DEMU was not showing in IRCTC results. I just checked the timings of DEMU (5am departure from MAO) and it is perfect since I'm arriving at Dabolim airport at 3.45am. Hope I can make it. What is the best way to get to Madgaon station from Dabolim airport? What are typical taxi fare?
