Howrah has so many Trains to Mumbai via Nagpur from SER but there is one and only ER zone train to Mumbai via Allahabad so if it originates from Sealdah,Sealdah will get one more train to serve Kolkata and Mumbai. As there is also two train from Howrah and Shalimar to LTT,Sealdah becomes more popular if there will a daily train service to Mumbai besides New Delhi :)

The problem is the authority are not RFs. Changing station just because it looks good is not a viable point. Besides SDAH and HWH have one of the best connectivity by road in between.

I disagree with hwh sdah connectivity. Its horrible. Mg road has horrible traffic and tram lInes dont help. A distance of 4 to 6 km on a working day evening takes minimum of 2 hours. But trains towards KGP are currently not being run from SDAH except sdah puri. The reasons may be its a freight corridoor...

The road is horribly jam- packed. Still, I don't think that you use MG road regularly. I have never seen a motorized vehicle to take 2 hours crossing it. It's exaggeration. There are too many buses plying between these two stations.

Dear sir, i insist, u board a bus from hwh at 6pm on a working day. It will take 30 minutes to cRoss howrah bridge. Bara bazar college street crossing etc takes how much time, even maa durga cant predict. Same bus taken at 4am morning covers it in 10 to 15 minutes.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
