Flash News: Jumps the signal at OCR. Train is stopped at OCR and the loco pilot is taken for medical test and train is delayed by 150 minutes now.

Today's news says that both LP & ALP were under the infleunce of alcohol. I though prior to the start of the journey drivers do undergo tests. Quite strange if it was done , then why was it not detected.
Even if they have the same while they are on duty, arent they aware if the risks involved if they are caught??

Breath Analyzing test happens when the LP and ALP joins their Duty. What's mysterious is that how they consumed Alcohol after that!!!

It depends on who is in control. If LP is in control, it is the duty of ALP to inform LP.
As per the standard procedure. On seeing the signal, one has to tell other, what is the signal ahead, and other has to respond back confirming the signal. I have seen this practice in one of the video(foot platting) in you tube.
