‘Metro man’ E. Sreedharan on Thursday rued that engineering institutes in the country are producing engineers of “very sub-standard” quality while underlining the paradox wherein IITians are heading to foreign countries for higher studies or better employment.
Speaking at the U.N. Mahida memorial lecture on “Professional ethics and role of engineers,” organised by the state chapter of the Institution of Engineers (India), Mr. Sreedharan appealed to engineers to get a “different orientation, standard and mission for handling various infrastructure projects for which Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a target of (Rs.) 5 trillion.”—PTI

Partly, I agree with Mr. Sreedharan.... However, not only IITians but also NITians and cream layer students of other engineering colleges hold respectable and recognizable posts across the globe...
we dont have place for great brains in our country. Many quality people leaves india oops actually not.
It just a myth , actually the system in other countries makes them quality people. Here encouraging of new idea comparatively very less.
