What is the meaning of on-board catering?
order taken for lunch/dinner? or vendors selling some kind of food in train? or what?

Ob-Board Catering is not a official term used by Railways.
One can interpret as he wish,
* There is PC in train
* There is a licensed caterer selling food in train with no PC or with PC.

Agree.......at IRI, it has vague meaning.
In many trains, the lunch/dinner facility is not available but, the vendors sell some snacks or fruits..but...
some of these trains are showing on-bord catering & some of these showing no on-board catering....
thus creating confusion....
