A video clip showing a teenager falling from a Churchgate-bound train while performing a stunt has gone viral. The Government Railway Police (GRP) said that the accident, which probably took place a few days ago, was not reported to them.
The Churchgate GRP officials are now trying to trace the first person who uploaded the video clip, which shows the around 18-year-old, wearing a red t-shirt, denim and a pair of sandals, falling from the train just before Grant Road station.
GRP officials said that the accident took place between Charni Road and
Grant Road stations and there were a few friends with him, who shouted ‘gaya’ when the unidentified boy doing stunts fell from the train. However, the sequence of events after the fall is still a mystery.
The police suspect that the boy survived since no hospital has contacted them to inform of a death taking place in their jurisdiction, which is a mandatory procedure. Also, there are no unclaimed bodies matching the boy’s description or spot of incident, on record with the GRP.
“There are 13 unclaimed bodies of accidental death in Churchgate GRP’s jurisdiction in 2016. However, all are in their 40s. Only one is a teenager, but with a blue t-shirt, unlike what is seen in the video. Seeing the way he fell, it seems he probably survived, but sustained grievous injuries to his lower body,” said senior inspector Satish Shivarkar of the Churchgate GRP.
GRP officials said that they have not put anything on record as of now as there is no confirmation on his death. The source of the video is being probed for further action.
At least 11 people die every day in railway accidents and an equal or more number of people survive with grievous injuries.

Yeh chhokra log kab sudhrenga !! apun ko bilkul samajh mein nahin aata hai!!
(1) Teens living and losing their lives in abandon, is a very sad picture of our society/ nation. They don't even bother to think what ordeal their parents shall go through after such tragic accident. Being a parent of similar aged children, I can authoritatively say that for most of the parents in our country, it is the child(ren) first and self second. Loss of grown up children is too great a loss to parents/ society/ nation to be described in words.
Sudden spurt in emphasis being laid on gravity defying stunts in bollywood films since last few years have a lot of bearing in such activities of teens. Teens are often fancied by the action sequences filmed on their matinee idols, and does fatal mistake of repeating same or similar actions in real life. Film industry must avoid such and other kinds of foolishly dashing action sequences which are causing untimely deaths of budding young lives. A request/ directive from govt/police will definitely work, as the film industry belongs to artists, the more sensitive lot of people amongst us.
(3) No body like to lose life, these boys are not doing it to commit suicide. The most surprising thing to know is that they do such stunts, even after knowing that many boys are dying due to such stunts. There is need to go into details like education, socio-economic, residential locality etc of such stunt performing boys, and understand the psychological/ social/ practical/ family-related circumstances/ reason underlying these incidences. After thorough study, should appropriate steps be taken to eradicate the underlying root cause.
(4) Instead of doing the right thing something like above, GRP is baying for the blood of the first uploader of the video, who has done a good job by highlighting a commonly committed and deadly practice before the nation!!

I think there is no point of becoming sad or emotional for these teenagers (stand baj) , despite the fact of knowing the danger involves. they don't care about themselves and family, why should we care?

There has recently been a lot of frustration among RFs when their Station Pics, Loco Pics, Train Pics get rejected because the "number is not showing", "shed is not visible", the loco/train is at a distance, Train Board is too small, "better pic available", etc. . To address this issue, effective tomorrow, ALL...

-@all members: As of recently, there has been a trend whereby minor name updates of Trains/Stations - whether such and such regional name should be there or not, whether the train should be called "Abc Express" or "Abc Superfast Express", etc. are threatening to take over the majority of Timeline entries. Also,...
