(1) LHB coaches are being inducted and are gradually replacing the ICF coaches, but huge fleet of coaches of IR will take much more than a decade or two for total replacement.
(2) LHB coaches have been introduced since about 15 years ago, still IR is not in a position to replace SG ICF rakes with SG LHB rake. Too much time has been wasted in developing a workable SG variation, so that LHB technology can proliferate in IR coach fleet. Else replacing all SG ICF rakes in pax trains by LHB with generator cars shall financially kill the already troubled IR.

more... IF RDSO is having difficulty in developing the needed variant, there is no point in wasting so much time. It is better to take help of the original technology supplier even if it entail extra cost.
(4) RDSO should try to develop methods to make ICF coaches safer with anti climbing & anti telescopic like LHB coaches through some modifications, so that safety can be improved till the whole fleet of coaches is replaced by LHB ones.
