Technically it is wrong. What about normal parcelled goods such as Clothes, sarees etc which are parceled from Surat etc. to all parts of India via trains, even if there are no direct trains?
You may ask them in calm voice - "Sir fir aap hi bata dijiye ki mujhe kya karna chaiye yaha se chittorgarh gaadi bhejna hai mujhe. Aap hi raasta bataiye please." Thoda tactically unse puchhoge to shayad bata de.
I can suggest you another workaround - Book your bike Pune to Surat / Vadodara / Ratlam in Train...
more... 1. Then separately book on another Train 2 from Surat / Vadodara / Ratlam to Chittorgarh. Have sufficient buffer in between the two (atleast 6-8 hours)
Another workaround is to book from Pune to a station nearest to Chittorgarh where a direct train goes. And then you can ride your bike till chittorgarh (For eg. Ratlam is 200 kms, Kota is 175 kms from Chittorgarh. Thodi road trip bhi ho jayegi. :)
