Presenting a video of a Full Fledged Arrival at LUCKNOW CHARBAGH NR (LKO) station with an Alco in lead. Lucknow is one of the busiest stations in INDIA, where lines from various directions merge and diverge. In this video, you can somewhat get an idea of track alignment when travelling from the Eastern side of the station.
I...
more... was on-board the 13167 Kolkata Chitpur Terminal (KOAA)- Agra Cantt. (AGC) Weekly Express, and we were coming from the RAE BARELI JUNCTION side, which is still a Single Diesel route. Initially, we meet the FEDL (Fully Electrified Double Lines) coming from SULTANPUR JUNCTION. It is the busiest one among the various routes connecting LUCKNOW with VARANASI. The Junction where the two routes meet is called UTRAITIA JUNCTION. As we skip the station, we meet the 12238 Jammu Tawi (JAT)- Varanasi (BSB) BEGAMPURA Superfast with an offlink LDH WAG- 7. The regular link of the train is GZB WAP Locomotive.
Just after UTRAITIA JUNCTION, a bypass line branches away, avoid Lucknow station, cross the Lucknow- Kanpur route Via Rail-Over-Rail bridge, and go on the meet the lines coming from SHAHJAHANPUR. Sadly I could not show that route in this video.
Meanwhile, we cross a few more trains, which are already described in the video. and so would not waste time writing about them here. Next, we meet another FEDL coming from BARABANKI JUNCTION. Barabanki Junction is the station, from where one route goes towards GORAKHPUR (Via GONDA), and another route goes towards FAIZABAD.
At the coaching yard, you can spot the LHB-Fied rake of 12229/ 12230 LUCKNOW MAIL. And at the station premises, you can spot quite a few locos, like NGC WDM- 3D, LKO Alcos, EMDs and so on. Hope you all enjoy the video.
