#Moderator in the last few days many members have quitted this forum stating the reason that this site was consuming a lot of their time and that had negative impact over their career so Why can't we have an option to "SUSPEND" the account, not deleting just to suspend it. Guess, someone has an examination so he/she wants to suspend his/her account for that specific period so an option to suspend their account should be there where they will enter the Time period for which they want to suspend their account and their account gets suspended for that time period without having any provision to login again until the completion of Suspension period. This Will help them to concentrate over their studies, Job, career etc.+they wouldn't have to delete their accounts too. What do you say Guys about this Suggestion?

I would rather suggest that
During exams they should be offline
It's their fate
If they can't stop being active in such social networking sites
They have to experience the result of it
is a good teacher
They should take lessons from Experience
And moreover parents are equally responsible for giving their kids(of IRI if any) smart phones, that too during Examination period
When it comes to Graduating or Post Graduating or Senior Secondary Students or above
I think their maturity is as good that they should understand the evil effects of being online either it could be IRI, Facebook and other Social Networking site during Examinations and during career building period
It's more dependant on the way that their choice or chance of building their future
If their choice is their future building then they have to concentrate more on that else it would become a chance in no time
IRI may have adverse effects on various people
But it's clearly stated in our disclaimer, that the site is addictive
So people who are claiming IRI has ruined them then
It's not the site which has loaded automatically
It's they who have opened the site and being active
It's their mistake and they should realise their mistake
For this they should log out for certain period until unless their important tasks are to be done
If they're suspended for certain period
Fake ID creativity will be encouraged

Ye suggestion kisi ek specific case k context me nahi Hai sir, it's just a general suggestion looking at the current trends. In my opinion, ye SUSPENSION feature ek beech ka raasta nikalne me madad karega. BTW you could disagree with me, now it's up to the moderator whether he accepts it or not.

This can be done. We can change the "Quit IRI" option to "Break Time", and then give members a box to fill up for "Number of Days". After that, they will not be able to login for the specified number of days. This will be done soon.
However, it is important to have some perspective on this issue.
1. IRI is a tiny
website catering to specific interests, whereas WhatsApp/FB has spread to all corners of the planet, and specialize in NOTHING. Discussions in FB/WhatsApp are general purpose, and therefore, quickly degenerate to trash-talk and vulgarities.
2. While the IRI Forum is moderated and family-friendly, WhatsApp/FB Group discussions are seen to be uniformly indecent and vulgar.
Just taking Break Time from IRI is NOT going to have ANY miraculous effect, so long as the member continues to spend 24 hrs of their day on WhatsApp, exchanging the "worst gaalis" with each other. Anyhow, the Break Time option will be introduced.

Thanks for accepting this Suggestion. Here you are right that only taking break from IRI will not serve the purpose but Charity begins at home, so I feel that IRI will pave the path towards a meaningful blogging and social networking. Once again thanks for this acceptance.
