If Kerala (20MP ) gets a separate Zone then Tamilnadu ( 40 MP with Puducherry UT ) needs 2 zones in Chennai and Madurai/Trichy
Chennai zone with the existing Chennai,Salem and a new Puducherry division.
Madurai / Trichy zone with the existing Trichy and Madurai division and new Tirunelveli division.
Thiruvananthapuram Zone ( 20 MP )
...
with the existing Thiruvananthapuram and Palakkad division and new Kannur/ Caulicut division.

There is no need of a new Zone, instead of this the divisions act properly and the proper political support is given there will be a good development in railways inside kerala. MPS and political parties are least bothered and both PGT and TVC divisions are also not acting according to the rail needs.

regarding MAQ if maq developed they also need trains to hinterland of KA. loading with more KL trains may not be good right. so apart from CAN they should also develop one more at kasargod Dt. and PGT division can try pit lines at POY too.

Pitlines at CAN might not happen.
MAQ pitlines has been reduced to 2 from 3 in order to accommodate two PF. New Pitline will be at MAJN apparently
