Ministry of Railways have decided to introduced new weekly Express train between Indore & Guwahati and have also decided to extend Rewa - Indore Tri –weekly express upto Dr. Ambedkar Nagar station.
Hon'ble Minister of Railways, Shri Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu will flag off the newly introduced Indore-Guwahati–Indore (weekly) express and the extended service of Rewa-Indore Tri weekly Express upto Dr. Ambedkar Nagar through video conferencing from Goa on 7th July, 2017. On this occasion Hon'ble Loksabha Speaker, Smt. Sumitra Mahajan, Hon'ble Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt of India, Shri Thaawar Chand Gehlot, Hon'ble Mayor, Smt. Malini Laxmansinh Gaur, Hon'ble MPs, Smt. Savitri Thakur, Prof. Chintamani Malviya, Dr. Satyanarayan Jatiya and Hon'ble MLA Ms. Usha Thakur will be
present on this occasion at Indore station.
Inauguration of Indore-Guwahati-Indore Weekly Express
Indore-Guwahati-Indore Weekly Express will have state of the art LHB coaches for comfort of passengers. The inaugural run of Train No.09307 Indore-Guwahati Weekly Express will be on Friday, 7th July, 2017 at 12.00 hrs from Indore station and will reach Guwahati on Sunday, 9th July 2017 at 12.25 hrs. In the return direction, Train No 09308 will depart from Guwahati on 9th July 2017 at 23.25 hrs to arrive Indore on Wednesday, 12th July 2017 at 03.10 hrs.
In its regular run, Train No.19305 Indore-Guwahati Weekly Express will depart from Indore every Thursday at 14.00 hrs to reach Guwahati on Saturday at 14.25 hrs. w.e.f. 13/07/2017 Similarly, Train No. 19306 Guwahati-Indore Weekly Express will leave Guwahati every Sunday at 05.15 hrs to reach Indore at 07.10 hrs on Tuesday w.e.f. 16/07/2017.
The train will halt at Dewas, Ujjain, Shujalpur, Bairagarh, Vidisha, Bina Jn, Lalitpur, Jhansi Jn, Orai, Kanpur Central, Lucknow, Sultanpur Jn, Jaunpur City, Varanasi Jn, Aunrihar Jn, Ghazipur City, Ballia, Chhapra, Sonpur Jn, Hajipur, Barauni Jn, Begu Sarai, Khagaria Jn, Mansi Jn, Naugachia, Katihar Jn, Kishanganj, New Jalpaiguri, Binnaguri, Hasimara, Alipur Duar Jn, Kokrajhar, New Bangaigaon and Kamakhya Jn in both directions. The train will have 2 AC, 3 AC, Sleeper & General Second Class coaches.
The booking for train no. 19305 Indore-Guwahati Weekly Express will be opened from 8th July, 2017 at all Passenger Reservation Centres and IRCTC website.
Inauguration of Extension of Train No.11703/11704 Rewa-Indore Express upto Dr. Ambedkar Nagar
At present, Train No.11704 Indore-Rewa Express departs from Indore at 21.05 hrs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday to reach Rewa at 12.15 hrs the next day. Now, the train will be extended up to Dr. Ambedkar Nagar station and will depart from Dr. Ambedkar Nagar station at 20.05 hrs to Rewa. Similarly, Train No.11703 Rewa-Indore Express departs Rewa at 23.10 hrs every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday to reach Indore at 15.05 hrs. Subsequent to the extension, this train will now reach Dr. Ambedkar Nagar station at 16.00 hrs. the next day. The extension of this train will be inaugurated on 7th July, 2017.
On this occasion Hon'ble Minister for Railways, Shri Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu will also a release a Coffee Table Book "Simhastha 2016 – A Railway Perspective" enumerating the memoirs pertaining to planning and management of the Simhastha Kumbh mela.
