Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu, action committee president Arun Kumar Patil expressed displeasure and said that even after three years of approval, the Union government had not yet prepared Detailed Project Report (DPR), which is estimated at Rs. 90 crore submitted by Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. (RVNL).
Although the then United Progressive Alliance government at the Centre conceded the long-pending demand of establishing a railway division and included it in the supplementary Railway Budget presented by then Railway Minister M. Mr. Patil urged for establishing the railway divisional headquarters soon.
