DEHRADUN: The pantograph — an apparatus mounted on the roof of a train to provide electricity to the engine — of Shatabdi express developed a snag near Dehradun station on Thursday afternoon. Another engine was used to bring the train to the platform. Station Superintendent Kartar Singh said that no passengers came in contact with electricity. “It was a fault in the pantograph of the Shatabdi express coming from Delhi and the issue was immediately attended.” The incident was reported at a short distance from the Doon station. The schedule arrival time of the Delhi-Dehradun Shatabdi at Dehradun is 12:40 pm. Singh said, the delay was just for few minutes as an engine from the station was rushed to the spot to bring the train to the station.
