does a loco pilot itself brings the loco from loco shed to the train that needs to get attached or does shunter does it?

All major stations have dedicated LPs who are assigned with shunting duty; not only locos, but attaching/detaching coaches, parcel vans etc. But in smaller stations/stations without dedicated shunters, duty LPs are responsible for doing shunting duty.
From shed, locos are ferried to/from station by shed staff only, i suppose.

No,The LPs which are assigned to take the train to destination are handed over the charge when LOCO is attached to the train and is in ready state...till then their duty is not started.
In stations locos are moved to yard loco shed trip shed are done by shuntters, Duty of loco pilot will be finished at the signal point where the train is stopped. In some circumstances the loco pilot will be doing shunting duty. In PGTN the duty is done by loco pilot itself.
