Yesterday CRS orally approved the line of BTC-Samnapur as a FIT new BG line after inspecting and he also tested the speed of above 100KM/Hr on BTC-Samnapur track in his CRS spl train and he inspected the full line in trolly also and orally he said he is satisfied with the new track and soon the ofcl report of CRS green signal for train services on this section will be out so now only the major section of Samnapur-NIR is remaining to get converted to BG and Dec 2018...

As per my understanding, if there is a double line Broad Gauge, it will help a lot since
1) Some of the trains going from jabalpur to nagpur will be able to use the...

jabalpur --> gondia --> nagpur section.
2) Trains going from jabalpur towards south would be able to use the jabalpur --> Gondia --> Balharshah section. (Site shows Gondia to Balharshah section is already double line electrified).
Benefits
1) It will save a lot of time for the passengers.
2) Open up another route for going to south.
3) Connect more people to the railways.
4) It will be beneficial for the railways as well, since it will help to decongest the itarsi --> nagpur --> balharshah line.

G BPQ is not double line sir. as of not much traffic in G BPQ once JBP line opened and traffic diverted based on needs surely they will propose for doubling. till that have to wait.
