Not necessary. There is no performance difference. WCAM3 locomotives are very well suited to the ghat route and there are crews and Loco sheds/trip sheds that are very well trained in handling these locomotives. And all trains originating towards Pune/Daund get a LC or LR anyways at these stations and using a WCAM instead of a WAP/WAG won't make any difference in the operation time. So, let the WCAM's rule the ghat sections for the duration of their codal life. No need to relegate locomotives in perfect working condition to minor duties.
