* for a 160kmph SHS train, NDLS-JP non stop journey on existing track should take about 2:45 hrs. The journey in just 2hrs as reported is impossible.
* for a 200kmph SHS train, NDLS-JP journey in 2 hrs is possible , but not on existing (& upgraded) track with current layout . It is possible if the train is non stop and track alignment is straighter (shorter route say 280-290 kms instead of existing 308 kms)
* Some news papers are speaking of Delhi-JP in just 90 minutes. For that to happen...
more... atleast 250-270 kmph nonstop train has to be operated on the dedicated high speed tracks.
* A crack 320kmph bullet train, on straight track can do non stop Delhi-JP route (280kms) journey in about 1:10 hrs only.
