This question has been asked in different ways. I will ask in a way.
Do you think that the entire system of Monitor and Admin positions need to be based on performance?
take is:
1. Admins and Monitors have vast powers over members. Many use it and help.
But many are just in "self-serving mode" (stamping their own TL and not bothering with others') and that leaves just few Admins and Monitors to do bulk of the job.
2. When few do all the work, there is a backlog and also sometimes leads to arguments which again burdens the FMs.
3. Now, FMs though temporarily appointed to monitor the forum, have to do the heavy lifting mostly concerning with TLs - A time consuming and thankless job, FM job is.
4. So I believe that the power to approve TLs should be given to those who are ACTIVE, who approve others' too.
5. I am talking of a fluid system, where performance matters and those non-performers are yanked off their power.
6. Many have addressed this issue in main forum, polls or direct question to Moderator. Every time its just lip service and no concrete action. No proper solution to an ever occurring problem. Shouldn't there be transparency, accountability?
7. If this is forum of equals, then accountability should be there.
Give your take.
Not tagging Moderator, surely he will see the poll and the votes.

Yes. Only TLMs (Admins and Monitors) who approve others' TLs (some limit) should continue. Rest need to be removed.
Yes. An open - constantly changing - TLM forum like FM forum needs to be put in place every 10 / 15 / 20 days for better efficiency.
Yes. I want some change. transparency. I am fed up with the current system.

This is regarding the appointment of Monitors. For TLMs, we require a minimum of 1000 Confirmed TLs. For FMs, we require members to promise to abide by the guidelines and be free of controversies. For other Monitors, we require the member to be in good standing. . However, "eligibility" does NOT always mean...

The following changes are being made: 1. To restore the fun back to PNR Predictions, PNR Predictions will NOT be hidden anymore. @all: While we do nominally allow multiple IDs, these multiple IDs are NOT allowed to engage in misuse and "mischief". Voting multiple times in the same poll using multiple IDs, rating each other IDs' blogs using multiple IDs, etc. are classified as "gross misuse". . This is an advance notice that some of the...

@all: IRI is a PUBLIC information website, like Wikipedia. The voluntarily posted Blogs, Train/Station Tips, Train/Station Pics, Polls, Train TTs, PNRs, etc. comprise the permanent publicly viewable and searchable repository of IRI. A PUBLIC info website is unlike WhatsApp, FaceBook, Instagram, etc. where people post personal pics and other stuff, which CAN...
