SER to soon scrap 08627/28 Ranchi-Howrah-Ranchi Special and increase days of running of 22891/92 for the benefit of passengers. Both MPs of WB and JH have earlier requested to increase frequency of Howrah-Ranchi Intercity Express. It will act as an additional regular connectivity option for Jamshedpur and Purulia from Kolkata. Moreover, passengers from Mumbai and Pune Duronto need not to visit Howrah to go to Asansol, Purulia and Burnpur etc. They all can deboard at Tatanagar and continue journey by 22891. The present connecting load over South Bihar express will be reduced by making this train regular says Sabyasachi Sengupta (Off. KGP).
I don't think rb will allow permanent regularisation of daily Intercity via tata....coz after new DC line gets back (a long wait though) RNC Intercity via asn-dhanbad will be restarted again
Already the decision has been finalized. No RB approval required for matter pertaining to intra zone.
The one via DHN may have no link with the one via TATA in future. If 12827/28 is LHBfied soon then chances of intercity via ASN still survives.

But train traffic regulation anywhere in india has to be approved by member traffic, Railway board.....even for intrazone travel also.... Dhanbad-jayanagar exp was also an intrazone case with a small stretch of ER enroute....but the permission is still pending with Railway board....similar is the case of barkakana-patna intercity which has not been approved by rb yet
SER isn't going to introduce any new train. Only 22891/92's frequency is gonna increase and cancellation of 08627/28.
