Is there any specific reason for delaying the e-loco attachements for amaravathi, prashanthi ,special trains ?

Not particularly so. For the load they haul, Diesel locos have a small carbon foot-print. The line operated with steam locomotives which were far more polluting than the diesels for over a century, and yet there is minimal environmental impact on the route. Because of the low traffic, and also the fact the trains just pass through in a short time, the forest and landscape have enough time and capacity to 'sink in' a good amount of the pollutants. Now of course, if the traffic were to increase, then the impact will definitely be noticeable.
Yes, doubling would have been a better option, but given the number of electrification projects they had taken up simultaneously,

it was probably easier to just electrify this line as well along with the others instead of waiting for a few more years and doing it separately.

Anyways within few days or weeks the trains mentioned by him will be run with elocos. Then people will miss diesels as usual. Anyways I'm happy with diesels and the track doubling works going in my area. I'm happy SWR went for doubling my area rather than electrifying it.

Also, for SWR it makes more sense to double their route than electrify it. Unlike SCR, SWR does not have any electrified network to connect to nearby. All lines branching out of the GTL-VSG route are non-electrified and until recently, even at the GTL end, only the GTL-MAS part was electrified. And as SWR already has a huge fleet of diesel locos available, and well established infrastructure on the route for handling them, it is pointless for them to spend money on procuring the equipment and infrastructure for electrifying just this single route. The Return on investment for them would be quite low.
For SCR on the other hand, the BZA end of the route is fully

electrified and since they were taking up the FEDL of GTL-Wadi and electrification of GTL-SBC, it was a good investment to electrify the GTL-GNT route as well.

One thing SWR lacks severely is speed. Surprisingly GTL UBL stertch has zero SFs fastest is 18047 Amaravati averaging mere 55 kph and that too on paper in reality always adds minimum 60 minutes delay after HPT. Buses are faster than trains on many SWR routes. Track doubling should definitely be a boon for SWR as well as the passengers. Really travelling through SWR sucks at times.
PS: 2847/48 Amaravati was the first SF to connect UBL and GTL but sadly SWR failed to run it on schedule so it got degraded to 18047/48. I'm still hoping that one day it is back to its SF avatar.

Yup speeds of UBL GTL can be increased but you might know how much traffic of freights on this section. You can find each freight train looped at one or another station between UBL BAY so this makes them speed restrictions but hope after complete doubling this section will be utilized for high speeds for passenger trains. And as u said Amravati Exp can come into its older avatar as Amravati SF Exp..
