At present -a Holiday Special train- 09301/02 runs between Delhi Sarai Rohila and Indore Junction. This train is there for a limited time-from April 14, 2018 to July 01, 2018. Being a Holiday special, the average speed of this train is 50 kms per hour. the train therefore takes 16 hours to reach Ratlam and 19 hours for Indore.
A train from Delhi Sarai Rohila to Indore is required for long term use on this route. It would be better of this train after July 01, 2018 is converted into a regular SF train between Delhi Sarai Rohila station and Indore so that distance can be covered in 15-16 hours in either directions. By this way Sarai-Rohila and...
more... Ratlam may get covered in 12 hours time.
the reason why this new train is propose dis that most of the Mumbai trains starting from Delhi/New delhi/NZM are packed at starting stations. If this propsed train from Sarai Rohila is introduced, passengers can alight next day morning at Ratlam and take connecting train at Ratlam for Mumbai. At Ratlam, in most of the Mumbai trains, passengers alight and less passengers are there, thereby seat availabilty in train is always there. Also in most of Mumbai trains, there is are 2 coaches-called -RATLAM coaches- in either -direction- where reservation from Ratlam to Mumbai-Ratlam is available. By this way, passengers can board connecting train for Mumbai at Ratlam.
This will alos help many passengers staying in Delhi towards sarai Rohila stations ot catch train here instead of going to NDLS/NZM.
Railway may consider this suggestion in view of hardship faced by passengers staying this side.
