first one to come is WCAM-2P # 21862 with King of Western Railway, New Delhi bound, 12951 Mumbai Rajdhani Express. Train was breezing at 118 Kmph. Notice the mismatched second coach from loco is of Duronto livery. King takes 15 Hrs 50 Mins to cover 1384 Kms. with an impressive speed of 87.41 Kmph. In return 12952 takes 16 Hrs 5 Mins to cover same distance with average speed of 86.05 Kmph. Overall combined average of this comes to 86.73 Kmph. This is the fastest Rajdhani of India and combined it is the 4th fastest train of India after Bhopal Shatabdi, Sealdah AC Duronto and Kanpur Shatabdi respectively. Mumbai gang is waiting for conversion day after which, loco change at BRC will be discontinued which will save time and this might help this beast to go to 2nd position again.
Second one to come is WCAM-2P with the real Deputy King of Western Railway, H Nizamuddin bound, 12909 NZM Garib Rath Express. Train was cruising at 117 Kmph. Noticing the all coaches of Garib after long time. Deputy King takes 16 Hrs 50 Mins to cover 1366 Kms. with an average speed of 81.15 Kmph. In return 12910 takes 16 Hrs 30 Mins to cover same distance with average speed of 82.79 Kmph. Overall combined average of this comes to 81.97 Kmph. This is the fastest Garib Rath of India, 2nd fastest train in between Mumbai and New Delhi and combined it is the 9th fastest train of India after Bhopal Shatabdi, Sealdah AC Duronto, Kanpur Shatabdi, Mumbai Rajdhani, Allahabad Duronto, Howrah Rajdhani, Howrah Duronto and Sealdah Rajdhani respectively.
Third one to come is WCAM-2P with the old Deputy King of Western Railway, H Nizamuddin bound, 12953 August Kranti Rajdhani Express. Train was doing at its MPS of 120 Kmph. This train is known for its nasty run due to numerous stoppages given to him. Old Deputy King takes 17 Hrs 15 Mins to cover 1377 Kms. with an average speed of 79.83 Kmph. In return 12954 takes 17 Hrs 40 Mins to cover same distance with average speed of 77.94 Kmph. Overall combined average of this comes to 78.88 Kmph. This is the 3rd fastest train in between Mumbai and New Delhi and combined it is the 11th fastest train of India after above mentioned list plus NZM Garib Rath and Lucknow Swarn Shatabdi.
The last one to appear is WCAM-2P with continuous honking, the real King of BCT-ADI section, Mumbai bound, 12010 Shatabdi Express. Train was cruising at its MPS of 120 Kmph. Notice the Rajdhani coach just after the loco. This beast really freezes me in chilly evening due to which few coaches passed blurry. 12009 takes 6 Hrs 45 Mins to cover 493 Kms. with an average speed of 73.04 Kmph. In return 12010 takes 7 Hrs 5 Mins to cover same distance with average speed of 69.60 Kmph. Overall combined average of this comes to 71.32 Kmph. This is the 6th fastest train of Western Railway after2 Rajdhani, NZM Garib Rath and ADI and JP Duronto respectively.

Rahul, You are absolutely right, IRFCA says ''This is in general a somewhat harder question than the previous one. One way to do this is to time how long it takes the train to pass you, and then compute its speed based on the number of coaches or wagons and knowing the length of each coach. BG coaches are 22m (72'4") buffer-to-buffer, BG EMU coaches are 18.2m (66') buffer-to-buffer. BOXN wagons are 10.7m (35.1'), etc. E.g., an 18-coach train is doing roughly 100km/h if it passes you (not counting the loco) in about 15 seconds.''

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
