SECUNDERABAD: Many people were inconvenienced as South Central Railway cancelled, rescheduled and diverted several trains on Saturday. Commuters took to social media, criticizing the railway authorities’ decision to divert the route of Hyderabad Deccan-Chennai Central express via Gudur, Renigunta and Arakkonam. “The train changed its original route, not plying through Nayadupeta and Sullurupeta after crossing Gudur,” said Srikanya, a commuter.Sources said the train had to be diverted due to a traffic block for infrastructural works between Gudur-Pedapariya railway station and Gummidipundi yard of Southern Railway. From June 3 to 17, the schedules of Vijayawada-Chennai Central Pinakini express, Nelore-Sullurupetapassenger and Sullurupeta-Moore Marker MEMU will be changed. Trains to AP were also been cancelled or rescheduled. Vijayawada-Bhadarachalam Road MEMU passenger train and its return pair, scheduled for June 2, were rescheduled.
